Storytime at the Mercer Island Library

Last week we made it to the Library’s Storytime program. It was a great hour of songs, books, squealing, running then falling, monkey puppets and other things that toddlers love.

It’s kind of like Gymboree, but closer to home, free, and a little less intense (which can be a good thing, as you know if you’ve been to a Gymboree class).

There are Storytime classes for kids of all ages, which you can find on their somewhat hard-to-read calender. Oh, and there’s a break for the next two weeks, but the classes start up again in mid March. No registration is needed for most, just drop in. And bring your monkey puppets.

What do monkeys say? Oh! Ah! Ah! Ah!
