While this is a blog about Mercer Island generally, I do tend to geek out on real estate stats and drop in the occasional house porn. So I’m excited to see another blogger is also covering the Mercer Island real estate market: Tera Randall, part of Redfin’s local real estate blog, Seattle Sweet Digs. She wrote on Mercer Island homes for sale over $1 million. Sweet homes, sweet views.
As I’ve mentioned before, I work for Redfin, so it’s nice to have Sweet Digs coverage in the neighborhood. But that’s not the only reason for my welcome: Mercer Island has only a small, but semi-dedicated, group of bloggers, and it’s nice to have one more. Here’s a summary:
- Richard Sprague’s personal blog, which comments on all manner of things including Mercer Island and especially education. My favorite recent post: Why Yong Zhao is Wrong.
- Our Mercer Island, a collaborative blog. You’ll see the first blogger here is one of the major contributors, and Bruce Basset is another. Posts aren’t that regular, but hey, neither are mine. My favorite recent post: Another Coffee Shop, Please.
- Tera from Seattle Sweet Digs, with the aforementioned post which is the first of what I hope will be many.
- This blog. My favorite recent post (yes, I can have a favorite in my own blog): Will a Farmers’ Market Make Mercer Island More Like Capitol Hill and Fremont? That post didn’t get a lot of pickup but I liked it.
Happy reading. And remember: there’s always room for more.
