This weekend I noticed a new sign on one of the new retail places on SE 27th at 77th Ave. Mo’s Pizza is coming:
If you can’t read the sign, they’re offering “Sicilian style pizza, fresh organic salads, premium Italian deli sandwiches…” and beer and wine. There’s a nice spot right by the space for patio seating, don’t know if they’re planning to use it but I hope so.
Bennett’s just announced a new happy hour from 4 to 6 pm everyday. Appetizers are $4, wine is $6 per glass and cocktails are $5. I usually think of summer as happy hour season, but perhaps they’re introducing this in the fall to keep business strong.
Battle of the Happy Hours on North Island.
Cellar 46 has had a happy hour for a while, with wine flights $10 and appetizers 50% off. I’ve been there for the happy hour and had some great starters. Cellar 46′s happy hour is everyday except Sunday from 4 to 6 pm.
The addition of a 2nd happy hour opens the possibility of a Mercer Island mini-happy-hour-crawl, from Bennetts to Cellar 46 and on around the block.
