This weekend I noticed a new sign on one of the new retail places on SE 27th at 77th Ave. Mo’s Pizza is coming:
If you can’t read the sign, they’re offering “Sicilian style pizza, fresh organic salads, premium Italian deli sandwiches…” and beer and wine. There’s a nice spot right by the space for patio seating, don’t know if they’re planning to use it but I hope so.

Yep, Bill, you did. Unfortunately your local blogger did not follow up at the time. I need to get on the wine shop you pointed out too.
I think the wine shop may have run into a roadblock of some kind. The notice of their application for an alcoholic beverage permit is gone from the window, and absolutely nothing has happened in the space itself in the way of tenant improvements or “Coming Soon” signs. Neighboring tenants haven’t seen or heard anything either.
That’s a shame, would be great to have a nice wine shop on the Island. Though Cellar 46 is right around the corner and can meet that demand…
I know that the owners and contractors had to wait a little while to be approved by the city. But now that they are approved things should move much faster, and a listing for jobs on craigslist called them a pizza place and wine dive.

We went to Mo’s this weekend (10/17) and were pleasantly surprised by the variety of gourmet pizzas and the prices. We really liked that once you place your order and it arrives, you can pack up the left-overs yourself. Great seating too. We encourage you to try this place out.

This place is pretty terrible. I heard the owner curse at and threaten to fire several employees (from my table), and heard him swear pretty loudly in front of my five year old as we walked out the door.
Maybe if the owner had a sense of decency, this place would be worth it. Family atmosphere my foot.
Agree that the manager needs to take some lessons in management. I’ve also witnessed him yelling at his employees in front of customers and other staff. I know their food is good but I’ve only done take-out. I just don’t want to spend any time there. Too bad.
